At KPM, we are deeply committed to ensuring that quality mental health care is within reach. We understand that navigating insurance can be complex, and we are here to guide you through the process. If your therapist is in-network with your plan, we will handle the claims, filing directly with your insurance, simplifying your experience. For most other insurers, we also provide the service of filing out-of-network claims. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the specifics of your insurance plan, including co-pays, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements. You may find that you are eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits or your Health Savings Account (HSA). While we provide initial cost estimates to offer clarity, please note that these are subject to potential adjustments after claim are paid by your insurance company. You can access your financial statements at any time through our secure client portal, providing you with convenient and confidential access to your billing information. For any questions regarding insurance or billing, please do not hesitate to reach out to our administrative team. We are here to support you in navigating these details, so you can focus on your treatment and well-being.

We understand that navigating the financial aspects of therapy can feel challenging. To make the payment process as smooth as possible, we ask all clients keep a credit or debit card on file. This allows us to efficiently process session fees, co-pays, or co-insurance amounts at the time of your appointment, so you can focus fully on your session and your treatment. If you need to discuss alternative payment arrangements, or payment plans, please reach out to us before your session, and we'll work with you to find a solution.
Our team of dedicated professionals invests significant time and expertise in providing high-quality care. To ensure accessibility, we strive to maintain transparent and equitable fee structures.
KPM session fees:
Diagnostic Assessment: The fee for a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, which includes thorough evaluation and personalized treatment recommendations, is $275. This is also the amount we bill to insurance companies.
Individual Therapy: The fee for a standard 53-minute individual therapy session, where you'll receive personalized treatment from our experienced therapists, is $250. This is the same amount billed to insurance.
Family Therapy: The fee for a standard 53-minute family therapy session, designed to strengthen family connections and address shared challenges, is also $250, the same amount billed to insurance.
Family therapy may be covered by insurance when a family member with a diagnosed mental health condition is the identified client. We’re happy to discuss the potential benefits and considerations of using insurance for family therapy in detail.
If you have any questions or require alternative payment arrangements or payment plans, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're committed to working with you to find a solution that supports your access to the care you deserve.
At KPM, we understand that accessing mental health services is an important investment. To ensure therapy is accessible, we offer flexible payment plans designed to accommodate various financial situations. Please contact our office to discuss your options and create a plan that works for you.
Health insurance can help cover the cost of treatment and therapy sessions while an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers short-term, often free, counseling and resources specifically for employees and their families. EAPs typically provide a limited number of sessions and focus on addressing immediate concerns, whereas health insurance allows for ongoing, longer-term treatment based on your plan's coverage. In essence, EAPs are a helpful starting point, or useful for brief treatment, while health insurance facilitates comprehensive, sustained treatment.
Psychological testing uses standardized assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. These tests can help diagnose mental health conditions, identify learning disabilities, and inform treatment planning. While many health insurance plans offer coverage for psychological testing, the extent of coverage varies significantly. Often, insurers require pre-authorization and may only cover testing deemed medically necessary. Coverage can also depend on the specific tests administered, the provider's credentials, and the reason for testing. It's always best to verify your individual plan's benefits and requirements directly with your insurance provider.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that helps people learn skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distress. It emphasizes mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is particularly effective for individuals who experience intense emotions, impulsivity, and relationship instability.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used treatment modality focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps individuals identify and challenge negative or unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. By learning new skills and changing thinking, people can improve their emotional regulation and develop healthier behaviors.
Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) is a treatment modality focusing on the connection between mood and relationships. IPT helps you identify and address interpersonal problems that may be contributing to your emotional distress, such as grief, role transitions, role disputes, and interpersonal deficits. By improving your communication and relationship skills, IPT aims to alleviate symptoms of depression and other mood disorders.
