Education: University of Northern Iowa — Master of Social Work, M.S.W., Trauma Informed Care; Bachelor of Arts, B.A. in Psychology and Sociology.
Creating an inclusive and affirming environment is central to my work.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and trauma. Racing thoughts, panic attacks, worry, sleepless nights? Anxiety and trauma can drain your energy and confidence. Together we will focus on what works: evidence-based tools to shift unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping, and rebuild trust in yourself.
My goal is that you leave sessions feeling more capable, calm, and connected in your daily life. My first step is to understand you: what you've been carrying, how it affects your relationships, and what feels most urgent to change.
My approach is to work with you, and draw on cognitive behavioral approaches to reduce distress, build coping skills, and connect thoughts, feelings, and actions in a healthier way. For trauma, we will take things at a safe, manageable pace, so you're never pushed faster than you are ready for.
Therapy is not about erasing the past. It is about helping you live more fully in the present. Many clients find themselves feeling more grounded, more connected to others, and more confident in their ability to handle life's stressors.
I welcome clients from all walks of life, and am especially committed to creating an affirming space for LGBTQ+ community.
Together, we will work toward your therapeutic goals with clarity, care, and commitment.
