Education: University of North Dakota - Ph.D. in counseling psychology.
I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where individuals can enhance their self-understanding, maximize their strengths, and learn to achieve greater satisfaction in their personal and professional lives.
I am a licensed psychologist providing individual psychotherapy to adults. In addition I provide psychological and educational testing for children and adults including Bariatric evaluations, Learning Disorders, ADHD, etc.
I received my Master’s degree in 2002 from Washington State University and my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2007.
My interpersonal approach focuses on helping clients to develop more effective strategies for dealing with current interpersonal problems with an emphasis on positive progress and self growth. I have several years of experience providing individual, couples, and group therapy for adult and college student populations (including Graduate and Law School students) facing a variety of developmental, familial, sexual assault, eating disorder, mood disorder, sexual identity, and interpersonal issues.
Special Interest Areas
Although I am a generalist, some special interest areas include strengthening relationships, examining self and gender identity, dealing with depression, coping with college life, career/work issues, racial and cultural concerns, sexual orientation, transgender issues, and body image issues.
